Revision cards

I decided it would be a positive move to begin with revision cards as from these i can develop a style and decide on the content enabling me to move forward with book covers and posters. I have started with Literacy looking at spelling and grammar, as this set of cards would be the least illustrative and least interesting so if i figured out a way of moving around this is think the other 2 sets will be easier to produce. I have now also decided to make my education products for a current company, so i can use their logo and they already have a status among education authorities, but i can also use their revision source material. I have tested out lots of type faces and got feedback from people in the class, the below fonts were chosen as the most interesting. However im really not sure these work together very well. I think i definitely need to get some feedback in the crit from these. I do feel that the hand written collage type works well, as this fits in with the theme i want to create and suits the age really well, but both type faces working together just dont seem to work.

I want to keep a plain and simple structure to the revision cards, with the key element of interest being the topic of the question in this case 'adverb.' The first 3 are just testing out layout size and different type faces. I want to keep them fun and interesting, which is why i have added the collaged type face, i think the last type face works best it still plays around with the child like type face. The white spaced background it a bit to white i need to either add more to the cards or make the type faces bigger to fill up the space.

This is working a little better and introduced the BBC bitesize, which is the educational resource i am producing for. I have tried to tie in the strip with the collage but im not sure its really working along side the fish, the strip needs to be a solid colour.

Another way of filling in 'white' space the obvious fill the whole background, i really dont think this works though, and it takes away the whole clean cut learning card and looks more like something to be used for a card so moving on...

This idea works much better, the two Bitesize strips along the top and bottom fill in enough space working along the type. I have shown two different orange strips, i feel the lighter works much better in contrasting with the fish. This also ties it in really nice with the BBC Bitesize but not completely taking over the pack. Im going to get peoples opinions on the cards to see which they feel are working the best. One final change i may make is the size of the typefaces i feel they could be slightly bigger, but i shall have to print them out first to see.

Some of the questions need multiple choice answers shown, i have played around with a few different layouts and i feel the two shown hear work the best, i want to get some feedback on this firstly before making any final decisions.
