Who needs to know?
Who said the text? The environment and text in which the quote was said. People the text relates to.
What do they need to know?
The image must convey the quite, so the reader must be able to see the link between the text and the image.
What will they respond to?
They will respond to the context communicated through the image and not necessarily what the quite will say.
What research is required?
Images relating to the chosen quotes.
Other visually communicated texts to get an idea how other have produced things.
