As i posted earlier, this is my preferred layout with the orange blocking, i just wanted to play around with the 3 illustration because i really like them all together and wanted to use them on the book cover, but i dont think it really works it just doesn't stand out and look as exciting as other designs.
The top and bottom i have tried to play around with taking up some of the white space, but again this does not work, however the child type you can see is working much better which reminds me to look at the revision cards! a second point to take from this is the solid colour orange does not mix well with the orange blocking.
What i think from designing these book covers need, are their own identity, their own colour scheme yet to be individual subjects all following the same theme.
Plans to move forward with:
- Look at more type faces for revision cards and book covers to work together.
- Give the subjects their own identity.
- Look at book cover layouts and filling white space.
- Look at giving each subject its own colour, to follow through all products made.
